Rare instruments in orchestras have traditionally been violas and double basses. One of the reasons is, that it is very hard to find good instruments for children. For a viola, usually a violin with a low c string is chosen. Double basses often are of low quality, hard to get or delivered with bows that are much too large for childrens hands.
We have developed our Starter Kit in co-operation with "Mini-Bass Project, which is stemmed from viola teachers, skilled bow makers and producers of strings.
